A Sad Fate

I was only 4 then when I met him. He's name was ....(I don't remember). I had difficulty pronouncing his name and I ended up calling him Mitchy.

He was always there for me and we played together everyday. As I was shy, I was always playing alone by myself. That was when we met each other. He came up to me and started talking to me non-stop. I was frightened at first, so I didn't reply. To my surprise, he continued talking to me. Before he went home, he told me: "See you tomorrow".
I wondered: "Tomorrow... Will you still talk to me like you did today?".

He did. That was when we became the best of friends. I noticed that he always hangs out with me only. I usually gets bullied by the other boys and the girls just despised me. But Mitchy never fails to come to my aid. We started sharing secrets with each other and told each other what happened when we are not together.

One day, he showed me a stuffed white tiger and told me about all the adventures he had at the Zoo. The white tiger was pretty and its fur was nice and smooth. I named the tiger "Mitchy". Everyday, he never fails to bring the tiger down to play and we had great fun back then.

When fate suddenly changed...

I was bullied was again by the boys and this time, something terrible happened. A boy from the group pushed Mitchy away as he was trying to save me. Unfortunately, Mitchy fell and hit his head. Then, there was no response. Mitchy was rushed to the hospital and I visited him everyday with the hope that he will wake up soon. But it was a great shock for me when he finally did woke up. He..he..he doesn't remember me anymore.

I then had a greater shock when Mitchy's parents told me that they were going to bring Mitchy overseas and won't be coming back. They said that everytime Mitchy sees something, his head hurts and they do not wish to see him suffer. They gave me Mitchy's white tiger and told me to never come and look for Mitchy again...

My words for Mitchy:
"You promised me that you will never leave. You promised me that we will never part. You promised me that you will always be there whenever I'm in need. You promised me... But why does fate have to be so cruel to us as to erase the happy memories we shared together? Why..."
